A: The Onvia Vedo S5 Alarm Security Kit is a DIY home security system that works on any house or apartment. It comes with a Base Station, Contact Sensor, Motion Detector.

VedoS5 Alarm is simple enough to install without any tools or professional installation. Simply place the Contact Sensor on any door or window in your home, and you’ll get an alert on your phone and tablet when it opens. You can also place the Motion Detector in any room of your home, and you’ll get a mobile alert when motion is detected.
Q: Do I have to purchase the kit? Or can I buy it piece-by-piece?
A: The Onvia VedoS5 Alarm Security Kit comes with everything you need to protect your home. The Base Station controls your entire Alarm system and is only available with the Security Kit.

Additional Contact Sensors, Motion Detectors, Keypads, Range Extenders and future VedoS5 Alarm components can be purchased separately to expand the coverage of your system. These will connect with the Base Station at your home to protect your entire property.
Q: How do I control Onvia Vedo S5 Alarm?
A: You can easily arm and disarm your system with the free ONVIA App, which works with iOS and Android devices. You can also use the Keypad if you’re indoors and not near your phone or tablet. ONVIA Alarm offers you three Security Modes to control your system:
  • Away activates your entire system.
  • Disarmed deactivates your system.
  • Home activates select sensors to fit your needs
Q: What happens if the power goes out?
A: Onvia VedoS5 Alarm comes with a 24-hour backup battery that kicks in whenever the power at home goes out.
Q: In the network process, the progress bar is always not 100%, add failure?
A: Onvia VedoS5 only supports 2.4GHz wifi router, please make sure you are using a 2.4GHz wifi router.And confirm the wifi password again.
Q: How to cut the Onvia Vedo S5 network to another router?
A: First remove and reset the device on the App and then configure the device again by the App.
Q: Why I can’t get the notifications with my cell phone App?

A: Please confirm that the App has been running on the phone, and the relevant reminder function has been opened; Message notification and authority confirmation in the mobile phone system have been opened.
